BACK ON LANDSORT!!!

 

After leaving the Isle of Man on the 28th, we arrived on Landsort this afternoon, after a long trip up through Holland, Germany, Denmark and over the bridge to Sweden. Nearly 70 birds species seen on the way north, including an Osprey and a flock of Waxwing - one of the few occasions we are likely to see both species on one day!!!

 

Met by Tore in Nynäshamn, food shopping completed, fika taken and on the ferry with plenty of kit to load. Met by Monica, working the ferry, and with Pelle and Raul joining us for the weekend, followed by Jon and Niklas on the 1900 ferry.

 

Great to be back here again, meeting lots of island friends. Settled in and unpacked, hoping for dry weather in the morning to get the nets up. Light winds at the moment with a light wind just starting, but forecast to stop during the night.

 

There will be 6 at the Obs tonight: Kay, Chris, Pelle, Raul, Jon and Niklas.
