Landsort diary 29th October 2016

Strong winds together with the NW direction restricted net opening to just the four nets along the road; opened at 0745 and closed at 1400 with just 22 new birds of four species.

A walk through the woods in the afternoon produced very few birds. Compared to the last week or so the island seems to have emptied of birds, a result of the change of wind from the E quadrant to the W-NW.

Will be four at the Obs tonight; Chris, Kay, Gunilla and Susann, who arrived on the first ferry this morning.
