Our second day in a row with no ringing - what is the world coming too???? Since starting on 5th April there have been just 6 days when ringing has not been possible so far, good coverage, but frustrating that two of the days are during the busiest migration period.
Very strong winds from yesterday continued through the night, reaching 25m/s (over gale 9) in the early morning and with short but heavy rain showers until 0930. Rain stopped now but still too much wind to open the nets safely.
Made the most of it by doing a guided talk for 6 at 0930 and more work on the year-end report.
Last night and tonight it will be just three at the Obs: Chris, Kay & Stefan.
