A strong S wind restricted net opening to 18 nets at 0645, with 17 still in use by the time ringing ceased at 1345. Another busy day that produced 267 new birds of 20 species as well as a Siskin with a non-Landsort Swedish ring and a Great Tit with a Polish ring.

Birds ringed
Another 39 Bullfiinch was notable (same number as ringed yesterday at BMAR). Today we passed 10,000 birds ringed for the year, only the 3rd year in the history of the Obs, (2008 and 2014 being the other years). We also passed the previous best years for Wren with 249 (243 in 2000) and Robin with 1840 (1837 in 2014).
Not much else done today. Kept busy until 1430 processing birds and after that entering data.
Just Chris & Kay at the Obs tonight
