Sightings of interest
Despite an un-promising morning the nets that were sheltered produced good results, with 107 new birds of 15 species, including the first Redwing of the autumn and 28 Long-tailed Tits.
The weather prevented Pelle from opening any nets in SUDD, so after making sure all of those nets were padlocked he left the island on the morning ferry to spend most of the day on administrative tasks for the Obs. Without wishing to 'big him up' too much (!!!!) it is a shame that more members do not recognise the amount of effort he puts in to keeping their Observatory running and trying to make it better for the future.
Janne will leave the Obs today, having been frustrated with migration watching due to the wind direction.
Just two at the Obs overnight: Chris & Kay.
