Landsort diary 23rd August 2016

All nets opened at 0530, with two closed at 0900 due to a female Sparrowhawk sitting waiting for birds to fly into them. All other nets closed at 1130 with 52 new birds of 14 species, including the first Treecreeper for the autumn and a late Icterine Warbler.

 

This afternoon Kay has gone shopping while Chris washes bird bags, cuts some timber for boardwalks etc etc.
