Landsort diary 26th August 2016

28 nets opened at 0430 and closed at 1130. Just 22 new birds of 7 species - we definitely need a change in the weather to get birds moving!!!

The female Sparrowhawk is still hanging around near the Obs nets, but a bit less so now that we have stopped feeding the birds and are keeping the closest two nets closed until she leaves.

An update for yesterdays diary. Last evening, after Sorcha arrived we were all treated to a wonderful Crayfish party in the net-hut of the family Wallin. A really enjoyable evening in a very atmospheric building, with good food and great company.
