Landsort Diary 11th June 2016

A cold morning, with a strong north wind, restricted number of nets that could be opened. Nets were operated from 0400 until 1200. Only 8 new birds of 6 species.

The public guided talk was well attended with 13 adults and one youngster. All seemed to enjoy themselves, with donations adding to the amount raised from the fee.

Over the last couple of days Liam has cleaned the seat & table on top of the hill and has given it a much needed coat of preservative.

The six people booked in for last night and tonight did not show up, so either some confusion about which weekend was booked or simply a 'no show'

This meant just three at the Obs last night and with Liam leaving this evening it might just be Kay & Chris overnight.
