Landsort diary 27th June 2016

Strong W wind delayed opening of nets until 0630, when 17 nets were opened, with a further 5 opened during the morning when the wind reduced a little. All 22 nets closed at 1100 with 7 new birds of 5 species caught.

Chris interviewed live by Radio Stockholm in the village as part of a programme about life here on the island of Landsort. After chatting about the importance of studying migrating birds and highlighting the importance of the Landsort Observatory in particular, Chris was asked his hardest question - who does he want to win in tonights Euro 2016 match - England or Iceland - the answer had to be Iceland!!!!!

Only question is, will he be able to stay awake long enough to watch it????

Just Chris & Kay at the Obs again this evening.
