Landsort diary 9th June 2016

All nets open at 0400 and closed at 1100. 18 new birds of 10 species.

Of the 18 birds, ten were young born this year, a clear indicator of how the seasons are progressing.

Between net rounds the window panes in the 'new' windows were cleaned of paint, putty etc and polished - you can now see out of them!!!!

Liam spent the morning migration watching, not a huge amount but an Arctic Skua passing and a few Swift still heading north.

Liam is staying until Saturday, so the three of us overnight tonight.
