Landsort diary 17th June 2016

The remains of a belt of rain and strong winds prevented opening nets at 0400. Instead we took the free time that created and put a coat of paint on the bathroom walls and ceiling.

Finished that by 0700 so went to check on three nest boxes and ringed a brood of four Great Tit.

Opened 29 nets at 0900 until 1200, with just three birds of three species, giving 7 birds for the day.

A guided walk was given at 1100 for 4 people.

In the afternoon we will be strimming the net rides and paths before putting a second coat of paint on the walls and ceilings.

Pelle, Gunilla, Suzann and Thomas arrive this evening, giving 6 at the Obs overnight.
