The morning started off with a thick mist which continued until late morning. All nets opened at 0500 in BMAR but 5 closed mid-morning as the wind increased. Remaining nets closed at 1200. A total of 39 new birds of 9 species.
At SUDD Liam opened 7 nets at 0600 and closed at 1100 with 11 new birds of 5 species. First time nets used at SUDD this year.
Forgot to mention in yesterdays diary that Mårten, and Anna spent part of yesterday afternoon reducing canopy height and density of shrubs near the 1st net on the south round at BMAR with immediate results this morning by way of increased captures.
Migration watching was hampered this morning by the weather but Raul still managed a find a Grey Wagtail.
