Gunilla and Mova went south to the lighthouse to do some migration watching and were rewarded with excellent views of a Hawk Owl, initially on rocks within 10m of them and later sat in a tree. Kay & Bosse also saw the bird.
A second group of bird watchers from the Stockholm Ornithological Group arrived at 1030 but failed to see the Owl at the Lighthouse. Later, part way through their guided talk at the Obs proceedings were delayed when a second owl was seen by Bosse perched in the top of a tree north of Bredmar. All got to see it, so a very satisfied group of 13 watchers!!! It turned out later that this bird was first seen by Bosse at Bredmar, near the 'sofa', perched on top of his telescope, having just arrived off the sea!!!!
Gunilla & Mova left on the 1330 ferry and Bosse leaves at 1730, giving just Kay & Chris at the Obs overnight.
