Landsort diary 3rd September 2016

With a forecast for a dry day with light winds we were up at 0430 and started to open the nets - just as the rain started!!! Delayed opening until 0530 when all 30 nets were in operation until closing at 1130 ahead of a band of heavier rain that lasted for an hour or more.

 

A total of 57 new birds of 13 species was rewarding.

 

A guided talk to a couple of people including a very keen 12 year old - a pleasure to spend time getting youngsters enthusiastic.
