The onset of autumn allowed us the luxury of an extra 15 minutes in bed, with all 30 nets opened at 0515 and closed at 1215.
An excellent mornings ringing with 148 new birds of 15 species. Very enjoyable day in great weather.
Pelle arrived on the late morning boat to sort out some administration and paper work with us and left at 1600. Thanks to him for making the effort of a special trip, great support!!!
Those who read the diary for the 18th may have noticed that I made a mistake in describing the 'snipe' that Bosse had seen in Saltmar as an Enkelbeckasin (Common Snipe) when it was actually a Dvärgbeckasin (Jack Snipe). This has been corrected on the diary entry and thanks to Bosse for spotting my error!!!!
