At SUDD all 7 nets opened at 0600 and closed at 1130 with 59 new birds of 8 species. This site was run by Liam, Rasmus, Jacob and Bosse. They had the honour of catching the 7th Yellow-browed Warbler of the year - a record year for the species and the 5th day in succession that the species has been trapped here. They continued their good fortune by catching the first Coal Tit of the year, common in the Isle of Man it is not that regular here.
Overall this gives 136 new birds for the day of 15 species, taking September totals to over 2,500 with 1003 of these in the last seven days: an excellent weeks ringing.
Rasmus, Jacob and Therese left on the 1330 ferry and Liam and Bosse leave at 1730, so it will be just 4 at the Obs overnight: Chris, Kay, Sue and Beryl
