Landsort diary 13th July 2016

Strong winds resulted in only 17 nets being opened at 0400, with some of those closed later in the morning. All nets closed by 1200 after the guided talk had been completed.

Only 11 new birds of 8 species, with another Wryneck for the year being the most notable bird.
Only one person with three small children for the guiding, but all seemed to enjoy it.

Niklas and Bjorn were up late last night having an excellent migration watch of Waders, so were a little later up this morning, but still out early for a watch behind the Obs before a walk up to the north, but very quiet for birds. Later they will be off to the South again hoping for a repeat of last night.

Four at the Obs overnight tonight.
