Landsort diary 17th July 2016

With very strong winds throughout the morning the decision was taken not to open the nets this morning to ring. Only the second day since we got here on 3rd April that this has been the case, so not a bad average!!!

 

As compensation though we got a good lazy morning, washing some bird bags was about as close to work as it got today!

 

No attendance for the lecture.

 

By way of contrast to our lazy morning, Janne and Bosse were up and out early for migration watching. Not high numbers but a good range of species.

 

Mats left on the early afternoon ferry and Janne, Bosse and Lena left at 1530, leaving just Chris & Kay overnight.

 

All in all an excellent relaxing weekend with some good, entertaining company!!!!
