Landsort diary 22nd July 2016

All nets open at 0400, with non-standard net closed at 1000 and standard at 1100. A total of 29 new birds of 17 species, including a Cuckoo, the first since 2013 and 17 ever for the Observatory. Even better - it was a ringing tick for Chris

Lecture at 1130 was attended by three people, asking many good questions, so it did not finish until nearly 1300.

Very hot out on the island, so the plans to trim the grass are delayed until it is a bit more breeze.
Just Chris & Kay at the Obs tonight
