Early rain and strong winds prevented nets being opened at first light. After starting to open nets at 0800 but stopping when more rain showers arrived, 15 nets were eventually opened at 1030 and closed at 1530.
A total of 5 hours effort for 5 birds of 5 species. Good job we are not rewarded on results alone!!!
As a reward for our efforts we did catch a really splendid looking male Bluethroat, in pristine condition. If he doesn't get a mate, there is no natural justice!!!
Not a lot else to be said about the day.
