Landsort diary 9th May 2016

30 nets open at 0400 and closed at 1200. Becoming the normal state now - it seems a long time ago since the wind restricted how many nets we could have open!!

The morning started with promise of good numbers, 25+ birds being caught in the first net round.

Things soon slowed down though and we ended the morning with 55 new birds of 14 species. Better than the recent past but still not great.

2cy Marsh Harrier flew past Bredmar, heading south.

Not a lot else achieved during the day, but some work plans drawn up for later in the week.

Just Kay & Chris at the Observatory overnight.
