Landsort diary 23rd May 2016

Same old story. All nets open at 0400 and closed at 1200. Eight hours netting for just 15 birds of 6 species.

We did control a Willow Warbler with a new ring on it, from the Swedish scheme, but not one ringed on Landsort. Obviously only recently caught as the ring was still shiny. Will be interesting to know where it was first caught.

In the afternoon a couple of coats of paint applied to the new sign and all of the small trees in the Bredmar reed bed area were trimmed to keep them weak and reduce the amount that they dry out the wet areas.

Chris, Kay and Fredrik overnight.
